Microscope Dentistry

We use a dental operating microscope that magnifies the field of view many times over to treat fine root canals, detect tiny cracks and finish restorations with high precision, improving success rates and preserving more of your natural tooth.

Microscope Dentistry

Microscope dentistry means carrying out dental treatment with a dedicated operating microscope that magnifies and brightly lights the working area. Many details of a tooth, such as extra canal openings, hairline cracks and the edges of fillings, are too small to see clearly with the naked eye. The microscope makes them visible with a precision that allows more conservative, accurate treatment.

The microscope is especially valuable in root canal treatment, where it helps locate hidden or calcified canals, remove instruments that have separated inside a canal, and retreat teeth whose earlier treatment has failed. It also helps reveal fine cracks that can cause unexplained pain, and allows fillings and crowns to be finished with tight margins that reduce the risk of new decay.

For you as a patient, the visit feels the same as any other treatment, carried out under comfortable local anaesthetic, but the extra precision means less healthy tooth structure is removed and results are more predictable. We can also capture images through the microscope to explain your situation clearly.

Afterwards you simply follow the usual aftercare for the procedure you had, with follow-up visits to confirm long-term success. At Dr. Rami Ezzeddin Clinics, we use the microscope for cases that call for the highest level of precision, giving your natural teeth the best chance to last.
